Emergency Management Specialist (Regional IMAT Lead)

These positions are being announced under FEMA's Incident Management Assistant Team (IMAT) Program. These are 1-year temporary appointments in the Excepted Service. These positions are located on Type I Regional Teams and salary is based on the location. Salary rate ranges are: Atlanta: starting $63.73, maximum $94.48 Denton: starting $65.51, maximum $94.48 Seattle: starting $67.73, maximum $94.48 All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this Emergency Management Specialist (Regional IMAT Lead) position at the IT-05 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IT-04 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Leading and/or directing a large scale, geographically dispersed emergency response team; Coordinating the response to a disaster or emergency that required working with Federal, State, Tribal, Local or Territorial governments; Developing and/or achieving shared goals and/or outcomes with diverse stakeholders (e.g. elected officials, media, the public). #J-18808-Ljbffr US Federal Emergency Management Agency
