Job summary:To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Quote Engineer located in Milpitas, California.The Quote Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the quoting and business development process by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, analyzing customer requirements, and collaborating cross-functionally to develop pricing strategies. This role helps drive operational excellence by identifying cost optimization opportunities, improving quoting processes, and ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer requests while supporting organizational growth and profitability.What a typical day looks like:Complete the detailed Cost models for each quote, ensuring correct processes, content and verify all assumptions with Business teams and operationsFollow all necessary internal documented processes required for quotesParticipate in Quote Strategy / Attend Kick-Off callsDetailed technical review of customer documentation as necessaryBuild and manage relationships with site engineering resourcesCheck & balance of manufacturing site and sales team to ensure profitabilityCreate cost models for budgetary or quick turn quotes when demand requiresCost Model data manipulation / Cost & Price roll-up / VAM Creation based on docs and quote strategySite engineering and Finance Cost and operations communicationReview any cost model inputs provided by sites for accuracyEnsure financial viability and accuracy of cost models usedDocumentation of any cost activity for future changes and/or evaluationsProvide financial evaluation for the BDM Team on quoteProvide final pricing and financial assumption to be included in quote letterCost model improvement plansThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:Bachelor’s Degree Finance or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Industry4+ years Supervisor experience4+ years Quote Engineering/ Financial / Product Evaluations/ CommoditiesExpert in Microsoft officeExpert in Excel & PowerPointExpert Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)AC29What you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition Reimbursement Application Deadline:Applications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
