Materials Support Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented SAP Data Entry / Materials Support Specialist to support a high-volume materials and inventory environment. This role will focus on entering, updating, and maintaining material and equipment data in SAP while helping alleviate backlog created by increased project demand and large-scale inventory initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow from foundational data entry into more advanced SAP, reporting, and process improvement work.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update material, equipment, and inspection data into SAP
• Support QA/QC efforts on work orders , including reviewing functional locations and updating notes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across SAP databases
• Assist with materials processing workflows , including inspection tracking and documentation
• Partner with warehouse teams and internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Provide data entry support to multiple team members (materials, inventory, and project teams)
• Assist with data cleanup and system updates as needed
• Support reporting initiatives and dashboards (Power BI exposure is a plus)
• Help identify opportunities to improve data processes and efficiency over time

Required Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Strong memory/recall and ability to manage large volumes of information
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP (highly preferred but not required)
• Experience working in materials, inventory, or warehouse environments
• Exposure to Power BI or data reporting tools
• Background in utilities, construction, or industrial environments is a plus
