Senior Marketing Counsel AO7177531 Location: One Pennsylvania Plaza, 26th Floor, New York, NY, USA Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in the office) Top Skills Independently draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of marketing and promotional agreements (agency, sponsorship, partnership, production services, vendor, technology) supporting marketing initiatives. Review and advise on consumer‑facing digital and physical marketing materials, creative assets, press releases, and other public communications, and counsel marketing and creative teams on advertising law compliance. Develop and maintain marketing contract templates, legal playbooks, tools, guidance, and perform regular trainings for the NASB Marketing organization. Role and Responsibilities Providing practical, risk‑based guidance enabling business objectives while protecting the company. Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a broad range of marketing and promotional agreements. Reviewing and advising on consumer‑facing digital and physical marketing materials, creative assets, press releases and other public communications. Providing dedicated marketing legal counsel to support successful execution of NASB promotions and publicity efforts. Working collaboratively across the organization, developing processes, proactively providing legal guidance and managing risks. Developing and maintaining marketing contract templates, legal playbooks, tools, guidance and performing regular trainings. Managing and maintaining accurate tracking and transparency of legal reviews, ensuring documentation of assessments and approvals, appropriate access controls, and timely escalation of critical matters to stakeholders. Requirements Excellent academic credentials, including a J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school. Admission in good standing to a state bar. 5–10+ years of relevant experience, including in‑house and/or law‑firm experience supporting marketing, advertising, media or consumer‑facing businesses. Experience supporting marketing for a streaming platform is a plus. Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. Knowledge of advertising law, FTC endorsement guidelines, consumer protection law, sweepstakes and contest compliance, intellectual property law relevant to marketing, rights of publicity, licensing principles. Passion for digital media and genuine curiosity for emerging digital technology. Excellent oral and written communications skills, high level of professionalism and solid business judgment. Ability to communicate legal issues clearly. Ability to manage multiple projects, set and adjust priorities, work under pressure, maintain composure and sense of humor. Ability to successfully manage aggressive deadlines while thriving in a fast‑paced environment. Team player, excellent negotiating skills, keen analytical abilities, pragmatic problem solving. Ability to work independently and elevate matters appropriately to senior members of the team. Ability to work closely with business partners at all career levels and other team members such as Business, Finance, Product and our Headquarters in South Korea.
