Mechanical/Utilities Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full‑time position available for a mechanical/utilities engineer. The role involves conducting job‑site surveys of food and beverage plants and utility systems; developing project documentation including drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.; selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems; coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Frequent travel (30–40%) is required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering At least five years of relevant mechanical engineering experience PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states Preferred Qualifications Experience with food plant projects HVAC experience Experience developing P&IDs for food and/or industrial projects Chilled water/hydronic design experience Familiarity with managing project invoices Experience mentoring less experienced staff Mead & Hunt will not sponsor a visa (H‑1B, etc.) for this position. #J-18808-Ljbffr Mead & Hunt, Inc
