Job Description

Location: Huntsville Family Health Center, Huntsville, AL
Schedule: Monday-Tuesday: 8 AM-6 PM; Wednesday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM + Required OT

Pay Range: $16-$20/hr. Based on level of experience

Key Responsibilities: Please note, these are not all inclusive.

Patient Care & Documentation
- Triage patients and record vital signs
- Document all care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Complete patient paperwork (prior authorizations, home health, medical supplies, etc.)
Clinical Support
- Assist providers with exams, minor procedures
- Prepare patients and set up for procedures
- Administer medications and vaccines (upon competency assessment)
- Perform waived lab tests, screenings (upon competency assessment)
- Remove sutures, staples, casts, and splints
Coordination & Communication
- Schedule consultations and imaging appointments
- Respond to patient messages and manage scheduling
- Communicate with physician offices, pharmacies, and ancillary healthcare providers
Quality & Compliance
- Reconcile medications and allergies at each visit
- Support quality management initiatives in EMR
- Maintain clean, stocked rooms and update inventory
