Position Specific Description NextEra Energy Marketing LLC seeks a Project Manager Market Analysis for developing long-term, fundamentals-based forecasts for energy, capacity, and ancillary service products. Overseeing and performing highly complex studies and forecast power prices for a period of 30 years. Working closely with internal and external technical and engineering teams to develop forecasts to support existing and new projects and/or technologies and serves as Subject Matter Expert regarding complex proprietary forecasting methodologies and modeling tools while maintaining process documentation and ensuring consistency with approved methodologies. Required Qualifications High School Graduate/GED Bachelor’s degree in Analytics or related field 6 years of experience in analytical roles or in the alternative Master’s degree in Analytics or related field 4 years of experience in analytical roles. 4 years of experience with power system, market, historical and fundamental data analysis; 3 years of experience using power market simulation tools; 3 years of experience with maintaining electric sector models, performing simulations, developing forecasts and future power system planning in regional power markets; and 3 years of experience with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools. A suitable combination of experience, training and education is acceptable. Job Overview Job Duties & Responsibilities Establishes and maintains working relationships with internal and external contacts in support of the development of data describing the key market factors Formulates inputs to electric sector modeling tools and assists in modeling efforts Maintains electric sector models and proprietary tools with up-to-date market intelligence Performs market simulations and develops long-term power market forecasts in support of development, Merger and Acquisitions, and management of existing assets Develops proprietary modeling tools and methodologies to analyze evolving markets and the impact on company businesses Analyzes market, historical, and fundamental data to draw inferences and present results in a clear and understandable format to management and external customers Provides training and supervision to junior modeling staff Presents forecast results to management as needed Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Experience: 6+ years Preferred Qualifications None NextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
