Senior Manager, Data Science

Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes division seeks a Senior Manager of Data Science to lead analytics and AI initiatives across finance operations. The role involves managing a team developing forecasting and optimization solutions while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption and measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of data science, AI, and analytics initiatives aligned with Finance priorities and measurable outcomes
- Manage forecasting and advanced analytics initiatives from design through deployment, validation, and continuous improvement
- Identify and deliver efficiency and accuracy improvements to finance processes via data science and automation
- Partner with Finance, Technology, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into analytical roadmaps and solutions
- Manage, coach, and develop data scientists and analytics professionals while fostering technical excellence and accountability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field
- 6–8 years of progressive data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning experience with people leadership
- Demonstrated experience developing and operationalizing forecasting, predictive modeling, and optimization solutions
- Strong proficiency in Python or R, SQL, machine learning, statistical modeling, and cloud platforms
- Deep understanding of finance processes: Account to Report, Procure to Pay, Invoice to Cash workflows
- Experience managing and mentoring data science teams in a matrixed, global environment
