About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

Location

Los Alamos, NM | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekends every other or as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a 47-bed acute care facility serving patients of all ages
• Maintain core staffing coverage as the respiratory therapist on shift
• Deliver care across a broad patient population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Adhere to all facility policies, dress code requirements, and professional conduct standards
• Complete all required state-mandated fingerprinting and background check processes prior to or at the start of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification/licensure required to practice in New Mexico
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire in accordance with New Mexico state requirements; travelers may begin on a 14-day supervised waiver while results are pending
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with respiratory care across multiple age groups including neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations
