Endoscopy Technician - Travel Contract Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) with flexible start times. On-call required with a 45-minute response time for activation. Estimated 132 hours per month of on-call duty. Weekends: Every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Endoscopy Technician to join our large endoscopy department in a level two trauma, tertiary medical center. The position requires advanced therapeutic training and experience in endoscopic procedures for a diverse patient population including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopy procedures including general and advanced therapeutic techniques.
• Support high-level disinfection (HLD) of endoscopic equipment and instruments.
• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain supply inventory.
• Assist physicians during intra-procedural tasks.
• Handle biopsies, scope reprocessing, and other technical responsibilities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in an Endo/GI lab.
• Certifications: BLS, MA-C, Surgical Tech Certification, or Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Preferred experience with USAP MAC Sedation Tech endoscopy procedures.
