Own complex Mazak machining from code to completed part

Join Acero Precision and lead high-level 5-axis work that advances patient care. We’re looking for a seasoned applications-minded engineer who can program, set up, and run Mazak Variaxis and Integrex equipment—and guide a team to deliver right-first-time results.

• Program Mazak 5-axis CNCs using Mazatrol and Mastercam (macro programming as needed) for complex medical components.
• Execute setups and operations on Variaxis mills (with pallet changers) and Integrex 100/200 (with lower turrets).
• Run First Article Inspection (FAI), then sustain production with tight control of tolerances, surface finish, and defect prevention.
• Lead and mentor Mazak machinists to keep multiple machines productive without constant supervision.
• Engineer tool selections, optimize toolpaths, and solve machining challenges across aluminum, copper alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and specialty plastics.
• Inspect to blueprint and proprietary software criteria using precision metrology and statistical methods.

• 3+ years Mazak 5-axis CNC programming and 3+ years CNC machining experience.
• Expert in Mazatrol and Mastercam; fluent in G-code.
• Demonstrated programming/setup on Integrex 100/200 (lower turrets) and/or Variaxis (pallet changers).
• Experience running multiple machines (Mazak lathes/mills or Star Swiss-style lathes).
• Capable mentor and independent operator for setups and production runs.
• Strong command of CAD/CAM, machining math, statistical methods, and Microsoft Office.
• Mechanical aptitude for precision manufacturing; deep understanding of tolerances, fits, and precision metalwork; excellent communication.
