Location: Stony Brook, New York Open Date: May 26, 2026 Deadline: Oct 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of Ophthalmology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook is recruiting for a full-time Academic Pediatric Ophthalmologist (Assistant Professor) to start immediately. Responsibilities of the position consistent with the mission of our department include inpatient and outpatient clinical care, education of residents and medical students, and research or scholarly activity. Required Qualifications MD/DO Degree (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified/Eligible in Ophthalmology. Successfully completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Preferred Qualifications NY State license. Experience in clinical, translational, or basic research. Teaching experience. Additional years in Pediatric Ophthalmology. Special Notes Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Anticipated Start Date As soon as possible.
