Greece Central School District welcomes stakeholders who can collaborate with other staff to ensure that our policies, regulations, practices, programs and services promote equity, inclusion, and diversity.Salary: $24.00/hour minimum Per Teamsters Contract Bargaining UnitReport Times: 7:00am - 2:00pmDaily Hours: 7Paid Work Year: 10 MonthsSupervisor: District Medical DirectorCivil Service Title: Licensed Practical NurseMinimum Requirements: Possession of a valid New York State Registered Professional Nursing (RN) license or valid New York State Licensed Professional Nursing (LPN) license.Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge of practical nursing techniques; Ability to work with elementary, middle and/or high school students, staff and parents; Strong interpersonal skills; Good judgment; Ability to accurately record and report health/medical information; Ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions; Must have the ability to travel; Daily attendance is expected.Position Summary/Responsibilities: Performs medical and/or emergency treatments of injuries and illness of students and staff as required; Dispenses medications as needed; Cares for disturbed and restless students; May attend to physical needs such as toileting, feeding, and lifting; Assists the School RN with daily triage of students with chronic and minor health concerns and communicates health concerns to parents as needed; Maintains an awareness of student status recognizing and reporting adverse signs; Communicates and collaborates with members of the health care team; Assumes responsibility for an assigned office in the absence of the school nurse, under the direction of the District Medical Director; Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary committees as assigned; Maintains professional competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences; Records information on student health records, accident reports and sports eligibility forms; Assists with inventory of supplies; Extra hours may be required; Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Questions regarding this posting should be directed to: Name: Mary K Perrello Title: District Medical Director Email: View email address on click.appcast.io new employees must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment through the NYSED before employment begins.
