About the Position

Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Mammography Tech Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift: M-F Hours per Shift: 8 am - 5 pm Experience: Preferred experience as a Mammography Technologist License: Required license in Radiologic Technology Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT-M) Must-Have: - Associates degree in Radiologic Technology - Required certifications and licenses Description: Performs specialized examinations of the breast to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Completes all required procedures in the department while operating specialized equipment. Acts as a competent clinician providing clinical care skillfully and effectively. Utilizes appropriate technical and decision-making skills in patient care. Educates patients regarding the exam while promoting privacy and comfort. Follows infection control and safety guidelines throughout procedures. Performs diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered. Prepares for and assists in the completion of intricate mammography examinations. Produces high-quality images for evaluation and completes necessary documentation. Obtains pertinent patient information and communicates preparation instructions. Addresses questions, problems, and significant challenges to senior staff for guidance. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients.
