Job Summary and Qualifications

The registered professional nurse is responsible for the admission and care of ill newborns into the Level 3 NICU through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. In addition, the registered professional nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises and evaluates patient teaching and the activities of the ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) 
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing 
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Current STABLE certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• 1-3 years of NICU experience required
