Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides critical, high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment. This role requires managing acute cases, facilitating admissions, and ensuring patient safety during every shift.

Responsibilities:

• Tackle high-acuity cases in a busy emergency department with a focus on trauma and urgent care.
• Conduct patient assessments, perform procedures, and document care using Cerner EMR system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and transfer patients as needed.
• Manage admissions for boarded patients efficiently, ensuring smooth patient flow.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including passing EKG exams and following trauma care standards.
• Maintain competency in emergency care, including rapid response and critical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience in a Level I trauma setting required.
• Proven experience working in fast-paced, high-demand emergency departments.
• Valid FL/Compact RN license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and CPI.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, especially in trauma facilities.
• Ability to handle admissions and complex patient care confidently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
