Rewards Senior Associate Consultant

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Consulting team at Mercer. This role will be based in Seattle, WA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. What you will do Prepare project charts and templates using project management tools, estimate hours and prepare timelines for project milestones. Serve as an independent project manager for entire projects and/or work streams. Develop compensation strategies, philosophies, and programs that address clients’ attraction and retention needs. Ensure client projects adhere to budget, and immediately address out‑of‑scope issues or budget overruns and manage expectations. Prioritize project activities to manage the workload and meet deadlines. Delegate and lead project tasks in line with individual capability, development needs, and available analyst and associate resources. Partner with principals and partners to help manage the proposal process. Lead both internal and client project finding, status, and check‑in meetings. Serve as a primary client contact and build relationships with clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. At least 5 years’ experience in broad‑based rewards/compensation. External consulting experience required. Knowledge of compensation principles, e.g., job benchmarking, salary structure design, job architecture. Strong quantitative background. Deep analysis and reporting experience, skills in data manipulation and spreadsheet analysis, and ability to develop written reports that summarize analysis and provide interpretation. Proven project management skills and creative problem‑solving abilities. What makes you stand out Executive compensation experience is a plus. Job architecture experience, particularly with a focus on skills‑enabled architectures. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously on a variable schedule based on project demand and link compensation challenges to broader business or industry context. Knowledge of executive compensation. Active listening skills—giving full attention to others, understanding points made, and asking appropriate questions. Applicable base salary range: $99,000 to $198,500. The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements.
