About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in a Step Down or Progressive Care Unit License: Any active state RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Cardiac experience required. Experience with CABG and valve post-operative care. 1:5 patient ratio experience in Work History section for Step Down or Progressive Care Unit. Experience with EPIC charting system. Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse with cardiac experience. Candidates must have experience with CABG and valve post-operative care. It is imperative that the application demonstrates 1:5 patient ratio experience in the Work History section. ICU experience does not count towards Step Down or Progressive Care Unit experience for this position. The target patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:6. All shifts are 48 hours, and overtime may be billed if applicable. Candidates must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting. Essential skills include BLS, ACLS, IV start, NIH, and cardiac drip titration. Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on a respiratory high-risk unit if required. Candidates should have a minimum of 1.5 years of Step Down or Progressive Care Unit experience. Travel experience is preferred. Floating may occur based on staffing needs. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The position may require floating to other units based on skill set and census. Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions. References are not required for application. Candidates must disclose any past license disciplinary action. Up to 24 hours of orientation modules may be required.
