Development Coordinator

The client seeks a Development Coordinator to support fundraising efforts through grant management, donor communications, event coordination, and administrative support. The role will help manage development projects, support grant applications and related reporting, coordinate fundraising events, maintain donor relationships, and oversee development communications to drive fundraising success. Key responsibilities include assisting with grant research, proposal writing, reporting, deadline tracking, and funder documentation. The coordinator will support annual giving campaigns and fundraising initiatives, including direct mail appeals and online giving, and will help with donor recognition and stewardship through appropriate acknowledgment communications. The role will also coordinate fundraising events, including sponsorship fulfillment, registrations, promotional materials, and event logistics, and will develop and distribute fundraising communications such as email campaigns, newsletter content, and other updates. The coordinator will maintain donor records, process gifts, and generate relevant reports, while supporting the organization’s mission and values and contributing to an inclusive environment. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, 2–4 years of nonprofit development or fundraising-related experience (including grant writing and donor communications), experience managing multiple projects and deadlines, and knowledge of fundraising databases, email marketing platforms, and Microsoft Office. The role also requires Act 33/34 and FBI clearances, a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, and the ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with applicable requirements, with additional expectations for occasional evening and weekend events and the ability to lift event materials up to 25 pounds.
