Position Summary

South Bay Ford is seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Service Porter to support our busy Service Department. The Service Porter plays a vital role in maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient service operation while providing exceptional assistance to customers and supporting dealership staff, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for everyone who visits and works within the department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors throughout the day, and spending time around vehicles while maintaining a professional appearance and delivering outstanding customer service. Schedule

• Availability to work Monday through Saturday to achieve a 40-hour workweek
• Flexible scheduling with day shifts and occasional overtime as business needs require

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously and assist them as they arrive at the service drive.
• Move, park, and retrieve customer and dealership vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service drive, customer waiting areas, and shop surroundings.
• Wash, vacuum, and prepare customer vehicles as directed.
• Assist technicians by bringing vehicles into service bays and delivering completed vehicles to customers or designated areas.
• Monitor vehicle inventory within the service department and ensure proper vehicle placement.
• Perform shuttle driving and customer transportation duties when assigned.
• Maintain dealership standards for appearance, safety, and professionalism.
• Ensure all vehicles are secured and keys are properly managed.
• Assist with deliveries, errands, and other dealership-related tasks as needed.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.

  Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver vehicles of various sizes and models.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the workday.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently walk, stand, bend, reach, and enter or exit vehicles.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  Compensation

Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on qualifications and experience. In addition to competitive pay, eligible employees may receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits, and other company-sponsored programs.
