Project Manager III

Role Description

This position will lead cross organizational teams, providing project management support on multiple small, mid-level, and enterprise level IT infrastructure projects simultaneously with very limited oversight from management. Infrastructure project support includes the assessment, maintenance, documentation, modernization, testing, and implementation/deployment for both software and hardware products.

• The project manager is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives at the Hanford site which will include:
  • Defining tasks and timelines
  • Coordinating across departments
  • Managing budgets
  • Ensuring timely delivery
• Overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, contractual commitments, and goals.

Qualifications

• Proven strong organizational and leadership skills to manage large high-profile projects or processes under tight deadlines with very limited oversight from manager.
• Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
• Vision and mindset to identify, handle, and resolve problems quickly before they become recurring issues.
• Able to build rapport with stakeholders by actively listening to and understanding their needs and concerns.
• Familiar with all aspects of software quality assurance principles, including ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) standards.
• Able to communicate effectively and work well in teams while continuously learning from peers.
• Able to provide clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communications regularly.
• Able to facilitate all project meetings and create/update/distribute project documentation.
• Able to provide effective leadership to development teams, fellow project managers, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of project management experience with 3 years in an IT field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Applicants are required to have REAL ID ACT compliant documentation at time of hire.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Clearance.
