About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required; will consider 1 year if experience in a Level 1 trauma facility. License: Missouri RN license or compact license preferred. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: Experience in circulating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility preferred. Ability to be on-call as needed, with a rotating schedule for call shifts. Description: This position requires experience in circulating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery. Candidates should be comfortable floating within the service line based on facility needs. On-call duties will include 3-4 weekday shifts and 1-2 weekend shifts during a 6-week schedule period, depending on unit needs. Scrub skills are highly preferred but not required for day shifts. The unit provides care for various complex procedures, including vascular (open and endovascular), transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas), and Whipple procedures. Candidates must be able to handle emergent cases in a fast-paced environment. All staff are responsible for entering missing instruments into the tracking system. This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-level care. The ideal candidate is expected to have a sufficient amount of experience in a Level 1 trauma setting. This position will require rotation of shifts based on unit needs. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed based on patient care demands.
