Temple Beth El of Boca Raton is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and engaging Hebrew Through Movement Teacher to join our Sunday religious school team. The ideal candidate is a native-level Hebrew speaker who enjoys working with elementary-aged children and is passionate about making Hebrew learning active, fun, and meaningful through movement, games, music, and interactive activities.

This is a part-time position and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hebrew educator or someone with a strong background in Hebrew language instruction and Jewish education.

Schedule

• Sundays: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Follows the Religious School calendar.

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach Hebrew vocabulary and conversational language through the Hebrew Through Movement methodology (WILLING TO TRAIN).
• Lead engaging, movement-based lessons that encourage active participation and language acquisition.
• Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Directors of the Religious School and fellow faculty to support student learning.
• Prepare lesson materials and activities for weekly classes.
• Communicate professionally with staff regarding student progress and classroom needs.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Native-level Hebrew fluency (required).
• Experience teaching children in a classroom, religious school, camp, or similar educational setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and culture.
• Experience with the Hebrew Through Movement program or similar immersive language instruction is preferred; training may be provided.
• Excellent interpersonal, classroom management, and communication skills.
• Reliable, energetic, and passionate about working with children.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively participate in movement-based instruction.
• Ability to stand, walk, and engage with students throughout the class session.
