Nemacolin's Wooflands Pet Care Facility is seeking to fill a key position at our McMurray location. The candidate selected for this role must be able to perform various front desk attendant functions, including reservations and checking guests in and out. Prior receptionist experience and basic computer skills is preferred. Must be a team player, possess excellent customer service skills, good math abilities, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential functions include welcoming guests and their pets to Wooflands, facilitating daily activities, administrative tasks such as filing and data entry, providing guests with lodging, daycare, grooming, and training information, ensuring that pets have required vaccines, communicating with the vet clinic for lodging pet appointments, collecting daily stats and completing cash handling/bank operations, determining guest status and informing service providers of their arrival, handling all calls promptly and courteously, posting all charges following accounting procedures, running closing reports and balancing bank at end of shift, selling retail products and assisting in monthly inventory, assisting in reaching budget/sales goals through upgrading or upselling services, maintaining accurate status of each in-house guest, informing supervisor of any front desk problems or questions, ensuring that guests are billed correctly, following through with gift certificate and special promotion redemption, collecting payment on all services and posting to the correct account and service, auditing daily accounting activities, booking all grooming and daycare appointments, keeping the front desk organized and neat at all times, reviewing and keeping up-to-date on all department and resort memos, keeping the lobby area clean and tidy, delivering messages as required, and scheduling includes day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
Candidates must have the ability to perform all front desk functions, including reservations for pet stays, as well as for grooming appointments and checking pets in and out. Must be able to deliver quality customer service to our guests by possessing leadership, enthusiasm, determination, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in the Pet Care profession. Prior customer service experience required, sales experience preferred, appropriate phone etiquette required, prior knowledge of pet breeds and experience with pet grooming requirements preferred, must be a team player, possess excellent customer service skills, good math skills, and have the ability to work in a fast pace environment. Candidate must be able to speak English.
Physical requirements include having a high energy level, being in good physical condition, being able to sit or stand for long hours, being able to lift 40 lbs., and being able to speak English.
