Job Description
The Restaurant Line Cook plays a vital role in a fast-paced casual dining environment, working within a medium-sized kitchen team of 4-7 cooks. This position involves using standard kitchen equipment to prepare and cook food to high quality standards while maintaining cleanliness and safety. The line cook contributes to smooth kitchen operations during various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and split schedules.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to menu specifications
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in food preparation areas
- Monitor food quality and ensure consistency
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
- Replenish stock and manage inventory as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience cooking in commercial kitchens
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in food preparation and knife skills
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Teamwork and attention to detail
