Specialty Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to work for one of our healthcare client's in Plantation, FL. You will work closely with the Pharmacist to improve the specialty pharmacy experience for oncology patients and their caregivers. This is an onsite role at a cancer clinic in Plantation, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily going to be responsible for dispensing functions including medication ordering, labeling and ensuring proper verification is complete

• Complete prior authorizations

• Source financial assistance on behalf of patients

• Process pharmacy claims

• Coordinate medication dispensing and shipping

• Improve the patient experience by answering questions and requests

• Act as a liaison between the patient, their provider and the pharmacist

Skills and Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a specialty pharmacy/clinic

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Florida (must have FL state licensure)

• Experience dispensing medications

• Full-cycle SPECIALTY MEDICATION prior authorization experience

• Source financial assistance on behalf of patients - Oncology clinic experience
