Senior Software Developer

Job Summary:


The DRC-Programmer 4 (PR4) is a senior-level software developer role requiring extensive experience in a wide range of programming languages and technologies. The position involves designing, developing, testing, and implementing software solutions primarily using Microsoft technologies and modern web frameworks. The role requires working both remotely initially and later onsite in Columbus, Ohio, with responsibility for multiple projects and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions using C#, .NET Framework (1 to current), .NET Core (6, 8, 10), ASP.NET, Node.js, REACT, REDUX, REDIS, and Axios.
• Plan, process, and perform development tasks efficiently with little supervision.
• Conduct project technical planning, analysis, and design activities.
• Perform system testing, unit testing, and create test documentation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including application functionality and flow diagrams.
• Recommend software reusability guidelines and mentor peers and junior staff through verbal instruction or documentation.
• Develop simple reports in HTML and support multiple projects as needed.
• Use version control tools such as GIT and GITHUB for source code management.
• Collaborate with Application Manager to execute project tasks.
• Participate in manual QA testing processes.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in C#, .NET Framework (1 to current), .NET Core (6, 8, 10), ASP.NET web application development.
• Experience with Node.js, REACT, REDUX, REDIS, Axios, and Azure Pipelines.
• Strong MS SQL Server development skills including procedures, functions, tables, and views.
• Experience with solutions design, project technical planning, analysis, design, communication, testing, and implementation.
• Familiarity with manual QA testing processes.
• Experience using version control systems such as GIT and GITHUB.
• Ability to create technical documentation and various flow diagrams.
• Willingness to adopt new tools and provide constructive suggestions.
• Must reside in Ohio or be willing to relocate.
• Must comply with government equipment usage restrictions and complete required background checks including fingerprinting.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Enterprise Data Modeling.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Knockout.js, JSON, and API development.
• Experience with MS Visio or other diagramming tools.
• Experience working in Azure cloud environments.

Special Considerations:

• Government equipment must not be taken or used outside of the United States under any circumstances.
• Fingerprint background check is mandatory before employment.

Scheduling:

• Initially remote work with eventual transition to onsite work at 1221 McKinley Avenue, Columbus, Ohio.
• Standard work hours and shifts to be determined based on project needs.
