Protein Modeling Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Protein Modeling Specialist to drive innovative antibody and protein engineering projects in Rockville, Maryland. This role involves utilizing computational tools and wet-lab techniques to enhance research outcomes and facilitate discovery.

Responsibilities
- Lead antibody and protein engineering initiatives, focusing on affinity maturation, novel binder development, and multispecific antibodies
- Develop workflows for protein expression, purification, and analytical characterization across various platforms
- Create binding, functional, and biochemical assays to assess engineered candidates
- Utilize tools like Rosetta, AlphaFold, and ProteinMPNN to prioritize designs and inform laboratory strategies
- Collaborate with computational scientists and structural biologists to implement modeling insights in experimental projects
- Provide technical guidance on complex, interdisciplinary research endeavors
- Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to scientific stakeholders
Requirements
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, protein science, or similar field
- Industry background in hands-on protein engineering or antibody research
- Proficiency in protein expression, purification, characterization, and assay development
- Experience with bispecific antibodies, multispecific proteins, nanobodies, or related modalities
- Familiarity with computational protein design and structure prediction tools
- Evidence of scientific contributions through patents, publications, or successful development programs
- Capability to lead technical projects and collaborate effectively across scientific domains
