Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, imaging studies, and other relevant evaluations.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with a variety of health conditions, including chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications, monitor their effects, and adjust treatments as necessary based on patient response.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive health measures.
• Engage in direct patient care, which includes performing therapeutic procedures delegated by the supervising physician.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Participate in daily rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance continuity of care and address patient needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a family health clinic or similar primary care setting.
• Specialization or extensive knowledge in family medicine and primary care methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
