Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our urgent care clinic, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including gathering medical history, performing physical examinations, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic results.
• Diagnosing and formulating treatment plans for a wide array of conditions, ranging from minor injuries to common illnesses.
• Executing minor surgical procedures and interventions, such as laceration repairs or joint injections, under the supervision of attending physicians.
• Providing education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to enhance their overall well-being.
• Timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters in our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Collaborating with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors, presenting with a wide variety of urgent healthcare needs. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• National certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently within your defined scope of practice.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective interactions with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience
