MaineGeneral is currently seeking an Express Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver prompt, compassionate medical care to patients in non-emergent situations while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team. Shift: Days (7a-7p)

The Role:

The Express Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in an urgent care setting, utilizing the nursing process while adhering to the scope and standards of practice, organizational policies, and MaineGeneral's values and mission.

What You'll Do:

• Assess symptoms, determine acuity, identify appropriate algorithm/protocol, and develop a treatment plan.
• Provides professional advice, education, and options based on assessment, established algorithm/protocol, and clinical judgment. When appropriate, dispatch appropriate discipline personnel or the emergency response unit.
• Evaluates the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Performs administrative duties to coordinate patient care, including data collection, answering phones, scheduling tests/procedures and appointments, calling in prescriptions, and determining insurance coverage. Documents calls, responses, and referrals. Performs follow-up calls to evaluate the effectiveness of care and the need for additional care.

What You Bring:

• Active State of Maine RN license (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (Express Care experience preferred).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Compensation Information:

$34.00 - $59.50

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
