Brief Description of Office and Position:
Primary physician office in Point Loma for 2 providers. A very busy office that sees 25+ patients daily. A small off with 5 other staff members, requiring an applicant that works well with others.
The position also requires a well-rounded person that can work as a receptionist and MA, MA certification required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform front-office duties such as answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, computer data-entry, checking patients in/out, processing payments, assisting doctor, and help provide the best quality patient care.
Perform MA duties such as administering injections, taking patient vitals, performing EKGs, ear lavages, suture removals, submitting referrals, writing or phoning in prescriptions, and assisting doctor whenever needed.

Qualifications and Must Haves:
Possess willingness to accept instruction and perform repetitive tasks; loyalty and confidentiality in matters relating to the office; understands the importance of discretion and respect of patient confidentiality and privacy (HIPAA); has previous clinical experience in a medical environment.

Must be passionate about the medical field and want to help patients; have knowledge of medical terminology; be knowledgeable of medicines and how to write prescriptions; know insurances and the different types; function well in a fast-paced environment; has strong decision making skills and attention to detail; must be able to prioritize and multi-task; needs the ability to project a positive, warm and professional image in person and over the phone; works well with a team and doctor; able to use multiple computer programs; also, be reliable and prompt with a flexible schedule.
