Through its numerous supportive programs such as Vocational Training, Day Habilitation, Medicaid Service Coordination and Community Habilitation, JUF uses an individualized approach to help each person maximize their potential.Position Summary:Jewish Union Foundation seeks dedicated staff member to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide direct care and vocational training to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting. Staff will provide guidance and support to individuals related to their individual goals.Responsibilities Include:Working one-on-one with individuals as well as leading group sessionsJob Coaching at training and various work sitesMonitoring individuals’ goals and progressProviding social skills training in individual and group settingsEnsuring paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely mannerCreating and implementing group activitiesTransportation of individuals to/from program in the morning and afternoon. As well as to job sites and community outings throughout the day.Supporting individuals in different community settingsSupporting individuals with varying capabilities and behaviorsQualification Requirements:A desire to work with adults with disabilitiesAbility to provide positive motivation to others and act as a role modelAbility to work well with othersAbility to be flexible and work in different settingsPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience with ID/DD population and OPWDDDriver’s LicenseSalary:Salary Range: $18-$19/hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
