Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative, post-anesthesia (PACU), and Phase II recovery care to patients in an acute hospital setting
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the perioperative continuum, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Participate in on-call rotation, including one call shift per week with required on-site response within 30 minutes of being called
• Float to like units as needed to support facility staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays as part of the assignment schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; strong preference for license in hand)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU, Pre-Op, or related perioperative nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Willingness and ability to participate in on-call shifts, including overnight and weekend call obligations
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted at standard terms)
• Must be available to respond to the facility within 30 minutes when on call

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric nursing experience in a perioperative or acute care setting
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record charting system
• Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
