Lead Value Engineer - Financial Services

We are looking for a Lead Value Engineer, Financial Services—a product and value engineering leader with 10 years in banking and financial services. You will act as an architect for critical SaaS adoption work-streams within major banking accounts, building data-driven business cases, backing them with AI and automation solutions, and driving them through execution. As a Lead Value Engineer, you are a "go-to" execution expert within our go-to-market organization. You will move beyond standard process optimization to link Celonis' Process Intelligence to key outcomes for Tier-1 financial institutions. You will work in partnership with Sales Teams and have full responsibility for the end-to-end value journey of our customers, managing enterprise health check assessments and facilitating workshops with C-suite and department leads. You are our customers' trusted advisor, helping them achieve their strategic goals, scale their cloud software adoption, and deliver a 3-year strategic transformation roadmap with ranked initiatives, projected costs, and business outcomes. In collaboration with our partners and Services, you will drive measurable business impact across front-to-back banking processes. You will blend deep process expertise with Management Consulting (Strategy & Operations Transformation) experience, an AI-solution mindset, and strong analytical skills at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing tech companies worldwide. The work you’ll do: Identify & Frame Value Translate Strategy to Operations: Analyze the client’s strategic priorities and map end-to-end banking processes to AI-driven improvement use cases. Target High-Impact Areas: Architect solutions that connect data across the value chain, focusing on critical banking operations like reporting automation, access control entitlements review workflows, and analytics dashboards. Build the Business Case: Construct robust, data-backed business cases by transforming process and cost data into scored, visually ranked use cases with investment estimates and projected ROI. Win Expansion: Build demos, develop value narratives and ROI frameworks, and present directly to C-level stakeholders across major banks to generate massive opportunity pipelines. Assess Value: Undertake customer-facing value discovery and deliver proof-of-value projects for global Tier-1 financial institutions. Realize Value Drive Engagement Success: Lead the value workstream by designing and deploying AI-powered feedback agents capable of ingesting 10,000+ customer data points to surface recurring themes and friction points. Orchestrate Improvement: Guide customers on how to use AI and automation to streamline front-to-back banking processes. Solve Systemic Challenges: Spearhead process redesigns by mapping current-state bottlenecks, embedding compliance requirements, and automating the end-to-end workflow. Facilitate Workshops: Facilitate workshops with C-suite and department leads, scoring capabilities across multiple dimensions and benchmarking against industry peers. Initiate Change: Conduct customer discovery, define success metrics and KPIs, and run successful pilots to onboard thousands of users. Present Results: Present executive-ready business cases that convert engagements into new revenue. Codify Best Practices: Build client-facing tools that enable enterprise-wide teams to assess automation opportunities. Mentor & Enable: Act as a senior resource for the team, leveraging founder experience to design scalable operational processes and build performance dashboards to track financial and operational KPIs. Product Feedback: Serve as a bridge between the customer and Product teams, reducing quarterly analysis times from days to hours and saving significant operational costs. Manage the Journey: Lead end-to-end value discovery, business case development, and MVP delivery, securing C-suite approval for targeted conversion rate improvements. Build Roadmaps: Deliver multi-year, multi-billion dollar strategic transformation roadmaps to embed sustainable optimization into the client's organization. Drive Innovation: Provide feedback to our product development teams based on hands-on AI agent development, LLM/prompt engineering, and API integration experience. The qualifications you need: Deep Industry Experience: 10 years in banking and financial services. Experience in Management Consulting (Strategy & Operations Transformation). Domain Expertise: You possess granular knowledge of capital markets, self-directed investing, and front-to-back banking processes. Growth Mindset: Proven track record of managing the full customer lifecycle, with a demonstrated ability to land new accounts, expand footprint through strategic upselling, and drive long-term value to ensure high NRR, organic advocacy, and sustained SaaS growth Value Realization Skills: You have a track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and driving them to resolution. You understand how to impact the P&L through process improvement, AI integration, and scalable technology deployment . Technical Fluency: Good knowledge of Business Software/SaaS applications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud, SAP IBP), and experience with data visualization, SQL, Python, or deploying LLMs/AI models is a strong plus. Stakeholder Management: Experience presenting to and working with senior stakeholders. You can navigate complex internal structures and clearly communicate SaaS value and complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences. Builder Mentality: You are comfortable working with ambiguity, adapting to a rapidly evolving AI landscape , and setting your own direction within an account team to achieve the best results. Degree: B.S. or M.S. in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Industrial & Operations Engineering. Additional certifications in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Analytics are highly preferred. The base salary range is for the role in the specified location, based on a Full Time Schedule. Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
