In this dynamic, supervisory role you will serve as a strategic, cross-functional technical lead responsible for administering, enhancing, and safeguarding the Sewer Division’s computerized maintenance management system and its related integrations. You will configure and refine the Infor CMMS, maintain reliable data connections with systems such as Workday, SCADA, and Hach WIMS, and ensure system functionality aligns with operational needs. Your analytical expertise will support the creation of SQL-based reports, data dashboards, and workflow tools that strengthen preventative maintenance planning, performance monitoring, budgeting, and long-term asset lifecycle decisions. You will collaborate closely with IT, vendors, and division leadership to uphold data integrity, support integration requirements, and ensure system reliability. Leveraging advanced proficiency in SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, and related platforms, you will translate operational and infrastructure data into actionable insights. You will also provide technical guidance, training, and day-to-day support to Asset Management Specialist staff, helping ensure consistent, high-quality use of the division’s asset management systems. Your success will come from administering the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and working closely with a small team to develop critical operational dashboards and reports. Core Daily Responsibilities Design, develop, guide, and manage the implementation of infrastructure asset management programs including the development of concepts, procedures, guidelines, analytical methods, business methods, decision making systems, and data collection methods. Administer an operational division’s asset management program with a lowest life-cycle cost approach. Plan work to be accomplished, set program goals, and prepare preliminary budget information. Supervise and coordinate activities of a designated unit; determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and determine methods for expediting workflow; assign, review and approve the work of subordinate staff. Provide technical expertise and assistance to subordinates and other department staff regarding policies, procedures and methods related to asset management. Review and provide quality control for the reports, products, and practices produced by subordinates, if applicable. Oversee the work of contractors used for the development, improvement, and/or implementation of asset management systems. Perform technical research as related to specific programs or systems and presents findings in verbal or written format to superiors, co-workers or the general public. Convey technical information to others and lead technical meetings with engineering, maintenance, operations, administrative, and planning staff. Minimum Qualifications Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education. Five years of progressively responsible experience, including one year as an Asset Management Specialist 3 or equivalent classification and one year as a lead worker or supervisor, AND Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, geography or closely related field. A valid driver’s license is required of the position. A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
