Envita is seeking an experienced construction operations leader who can translate Executive Team direction into disciplined project execution. Working hand in hand with Envita's internal licensed contractor, this person will own the organization, planning, scheduling, coordination, communication and follow-through that keep projects, bid packages, vendors, decisions, budgets and deliverables moving from initial planning through final closeout. Responsibilities are intentionally divided. Envita's internal licensed contractor primarily owns technical construction scope, field execution and the quality of the finished product. This role primarily owns the operational and organizational system around that work, while partnering closely with the licensed contractor to protect schedule, cost, quality, stakeholder alignment and business continuity. The performance mission Create an accountable, transparent and repeatable construction operating system that enables Envita to plan and deliver multiple projects with clear ownership, timely decisions, competitive bid coverage, proactive communication and early visibility into schedule, budget and execution risk. Key performance objectives KPO 1 | Establish complete project visibility Within the first 60 days, implement a master portfolio view covering every active and planned construction project. Maintain current phase, scope, schedule, budget, owner, dependencies, key decisions, risks and next actions for each project. Provide the Executive Team and other designated leaders with a concise, decision-ready status report on an agreed cadence. Ensure no milestone, commitment or unresolved issue depends on memory or informal follow-up. KPO 2 | Build and control executable project plans For each assigned project, translate objectives into an integrated plan that can be actively managed from preconstruction through closeout. Define scope, milestones, critical path, deliverables, approval points, dependencies and accountable owners. Keep schedules current and identify slippage early enough to protect the overall completion date. Drive recovery plans when a milestone or dependency is at risk. KPO 3 | Lead competitive bidding and contractor coordination Partner with Envita's internal licensed contractor to create a disciplined process for bidding defined project elements to capable subcontractors, vendors and specialty partners. Issue clear bid packages, coordinate site information and questions, and obtain sufficient qualified coverage whenever feasible. Coordinate the evaluation of proposals for scope completeness, exclusions, schedule, commercial risk and overall value, drawing on the licensed contractor's technical and field expertise rather than price alone. Prepare bid comparisons, organize technical input and present recommendations that enable timely Executive Team decisions and clean awards. KPO 4 | Protect schedule, cost and quality Own the planning, controls, coordination and escalation required to help projects finish on time, within approved financial parameters and to Envita's standards, while the licensed contractor owns technical field execution and finished-product quality. Maintain current budget, commitment, forecast and variance visibility for every project. Identify long-lead items, procurement risks, scope gaps and cost exposure before they become critical. Escalate material risks with options, impact and a recommended course of action. KPO 5 | Create a proactive communication cadence Ensure clients, prospective clients, executives, internal stakeholders, the licensed contractor, designers, subcontractors and vendors receive clear information at the right time. Document decisions, commitments, owners and due dates after key meetings and discussions. Communicate changes, emerging risks and required decisions before stakeholders must ask for an update. Translate technical construction issues into clear business implications for non-technical leaders. KPO 6 | Drive open items through resolution Implement and maintain operating controls that prevent details from falling through the cracks. Maintain action, RFI, submittal, procurement, change-order, decision and issue logs appropriate to each project. Follow up persistently and professionally with clients, subcontractors, vendors, internal leaders and other accountable parties; remove or escape roadblocks before commitments are missed. Close each item with documented resolution, not simply an email trail. KPO 7 | Strengthen opportunity and proposal execution For outside construction opportunities, help move each qualified prospect from initial bid interest through proposal, follow-up, client decision and signed contract. Partner with the licensed contractor and internal leaders to coordinate technical scope, pricing and schedule inputs so bids and proposals are complete, accurate, timely and professionally presented. Maintain consistent, documented follow-up and a defined next action for every active proposal so no qualified opportunity falls through the cracks. Communicate the value, scope, assumptions and differentiators of Envita's proposal; address client questions and commercial concerns; and help close qualified outside construction projects after bid submission. KPO 8 | Complete disciplined project closeout Drive punch-list, documentation, financial and operational closeout promptly after substantial completion. Confirm outstanding work, warranties, permits, as-builts, manuals, lien releases and final cost items are resolved as applicable. Capture lessons learned and carry improvements into future project standards. Transition completed spaces and systems to the appropriate operational owner with clear documentation. The Construction Operations & Project Manager owns the day-to-day operating system, stakeholder communication and follow-through required to deliver construction priorities. Envita's internal licensed contractor primarily owns technical construction scope, field execution and finished-product quality. The Executive Team retains final authority over enterprise priorities, major project direction, material financial commitments, significant pricing or award decisions, and escalated issues. The standard for this role is simple: once a project, decision or deliverable enters the system, leadership should be able to trust that it will be completed, actively managed, or escalated early with facts and options. Experience and capabilities Required At least 7 years of progressively responsible construction project management, construction operations or general contracting experience. Demonstrated success managing multiple commercial construction projects or substantial workstreams simultaneously. Strong working knowledge of estimating, competitive bidding, scheduling, procurement, project financials and closeout. Experience coordinating architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, specialty trades and vendors. Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, logs, forecasts and executive-level reporting. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build trust and clearly present scope, estimates, value, tradeoffs, risks and recommendations to clients, prospective clients, subcontractors, vendors, internal leadership and other stakeholders. Evidence of exceptional ownership, organization, judgment, persistence and follow-through. Ability to operate calmly, professionally and decisively when projects become complex or time-sensitive. Preferred Commercial tenant-improvement, healthcare, medical-office, clinical or regulated-facility construction experience. Experience supporting an owner-builder, developer, construction management or in-house facilities expansion model. Experience managing projects from initial feasibility and estimating through final closeout. Experience improving construction processes, dashboards, project controls or portfolio reporting. Sales or business development experience supporting commercial construction bids, proposals, prospective-client follow-up and project closing. Working knowledge of commonly used construction project management, scheduling and estimating platforms. Schedule performance - Milestones are current, delays are identified early, and recovery actions are actively managed. Budget control - Commitments and forecasts are current; material variances and exposure are identified before approval or impact. Bid effectiveness - Bid packages are timely and complete, coverage is competitive, and comparisons support sound awards. Open-item control - RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement issues, decisions and action items are tracked through resolution. Communication - The Executive Team, clients and stakeholders receive proactive, accurate updates and decision requests without needing to chase information; commitments are consistently followed through. Proposal progress - Outside-project bids and proposals have documented follow-up, clear value communication and defined next actions; qualified opportunities advance toward signed contracts. Closeout discipline - Punch-list, documentation and financial closeout are completed promptly and lessons learned are captured.
