Director of BD - Preclinical

- CRO startup based in Philadelphia with wide range of preclinical capabilities.
- Business Development role to lead sales across the Boston & New England region.
- Develop and execute both short- and long-term business development and marketing strategies aimed at achieving the company's growth and profitability objectives.
- Lead high-level business development initiatives, including prospecting, meeting with potential clients, delivering presentations on company capabilities, negotiating contracts, and managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new clients.
- Formulate and implement sales strategies to target organizations for preclinical services.
- Collaborate closely with the scientific research team to ensure that potential and existing clients receive a seamless and responsive experience throughout the sales cycle.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and outreach to prospective clients; maintain strong relationships with existing and past clients.
The Successful Applicant
- Massachusetts-based candidate (Closer to Boston area preferred)
- Strong technical background in life sciences (PhD preferred)
- Demonstrated business development experience (2-5 years) in a CRO setting.
- Prior experience working with a preclinical CRO (2-5 years)
- Solid expertise in preclinical services, particularly non-human primate models
- Competitive base salary.
- Flexible to hire as a Sr Director or Director.
- Uncapped commission structure with upside.
- Remote with a preference to be based out of boston Area. Expected travel on occasion to lab and meet with customers.
