Emergency Veterinarian

Emergency Veterinarian Make a Difference When It Matters Most. At Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC), we show up for pets and the people who love them on some of their hardest days. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, believe teamwork saves lives, and want to work somewhere your voice truly matters — this could be your place. Who We Are Emergency Veterinary Care Centers was created by veterinarians, for veterinarians—and for the communities they serve. Founded by 36 local general practice veterinarians (many of whom are still actively involved today), EVCC was built to support the veterinary community by providing trusted emergency-only care when primary care veterinarians are closed. Today, EVCC has six locations across the Midwest, and we’re continuing to grow into communities that need access to high-quality emergency veterinary care. Our upcoming Kenosha location will be our seventh hospital and our first in Wisconsin. We’re building it with the goal of providing compassionate, around-the-clock emergency care to pets and the people who love them. But what truly defines EVCC isn't just what we do—it’s how we do it. We: Lead with compassion Respect and elevate our team members Support each other without ego Communicate openly and professionally Believe DVMs should have a voice in the medicine they practice Recognize that emergency medicine is demanding, and take care of our team because of it What Life Is Like at EVCC We genuinely care about whoever walks through our doors—whether it’s a critical patient, an anxious pet parent, or a teammate who needs support during a tough shift. Emergency medicine is intense. It’s emotional. It’s unpredictable. But it’s also deeply meaningful. At EVCC, you’ll work alongside a team that understands the pace and unpredictability of emergency medicine and has your back when things get busy. Our high technician-to-DVM ratio means you can focus on what you do best—patient care, diagnostics, and case investigation—while our skilled technicians and operations team help take care of the rest. And because we’re veterinarian-led, your voice matters. We value the experience, perspective, and ideas our DVMs bring to the table.
