CT Technologist

Overview Employment Type: PRN Shifts Available: Days Hours: 8-hour shifts Location: Dallas Medical Center; Dallas, TX Responsibilities Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on theComputer Tomography (CT)table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have. Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings tooptimizeimage quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safetyat all times Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure Assistother radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may alsoassistin administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produceaccurateimages Responsible formaintainingradiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocolsregardinginfection control and hygiene Maintainyour register status for the American RegistryofRadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) Qualifications 1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.4. Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State. 5. ARRT-CT Certification is required6.
