1. Can you briefly describe your experience as a mechanical assembler or in a similar hands-on production role?

2. What types of mechanical assemblies have you worked on? (e.g., electromechanical, aerospace, automotive, medical devices)

3. What tools are you most comfortable using? Examples: torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, power tools, hand tools.

4. Have you worked with mechanical drawings or blueprints before? If yes: How would you describe your ability to read and interpret them?

5. Are you familiar with using torque specifications and documenting torque values?

6. Have you done precision measurements? What instruments have you used? (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)

7. Have you performed assembly using work instructions, SOPs, or build travelers?

8. Are you comfortable performing repetitive tasks with high accuracy?

9. What steps do you take to ensure quality in your assemblies?

10. Have you worked in an ISO certified or regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, medical devices)?

11. Can you describe a time you spotted a defect or issue and how you handled it?

12. Are you familiar with LEAN manufacturing or have been exposed to LEAN processes?

13. Are you comfortable standing for most of the shift?

14. Can you lift up to 25 lbs if required? (fill in based on role)

15. Are you open to overtime or weekend shifts if needed?

Accurately and efficiently assembles/tests products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. May perform lockwiring, first stage subassembly, and final detailing functions on routine assignments requiring limited judgement. Actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. Receives direct supervisory guidance. Performs basic assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment. Records test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters. Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives. Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specifications. Assembles/tests to customer and/or industry standards. Performs touch-up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, glaze etc. Mixes paint and cleans parts. Actively participates in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Observes all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area. Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.
