Summary The Events & Retail Supervisor is responsible for driving lead generation at our local retail partnerships along with organizing and attending a variety of events, including local, county and state fairs, home shows, and other community gatherings. The Events & Retail Supervisor will actively engage with shoppers and eventgoers to identify potential customers and introduce them to company products and services. The Events & Retail Supervisor will also support the Retail Field Marketing Manager with training new hires, providing ongoing training for current Events & Retail Representatives and assisting with scheduling to ensure seamless retail and event operations. The Events & Retail Supervisor ability to connect with people and contribute to team training will be essential in strengthening our brand presence and growing our customer base. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and support field marketing teams within a specific region, ensuring effective execution of retail and events. Lead team in actively engaging with retail and event attendees to schedule in-home consultations for Long Home products and services, while also acting as an individual contributor and meeting quota. Assist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of Events & Retail Field Marketing Representatives in the region. Lead retail and event logistics within the region, ensuring smooth operations from set up to breakdown, while managing team performance on-site. Monitor and review team KPIs, providing feedback and guidance to team members to ensure field marketing goals are met. Assist with field training program including training manuals, classroom and field training cadences for Events & Retail Field Marketing Representatives. Assist in managing regional field marketing budgets, ensuring adherence to forecasted costs, and report on spending. Ensure alignment with the overall department calendar, assist in scheduling and coordination and attend all regional events and adhere to retail hours. Support the execution of field marketing by troubleshooting issues, ensuring safety and legal compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards. Provide regular reports on regional field marketing performance, identifying key successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Supervise and mentor Retail Field Marketing Representatives, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Oversee the use of event tech tools, including lead capture and registration systems, ensuring effective data collection. Ensure team representation of the company is professional at all assigned field marketing retail and events. Ensure recording of accurate clock in/clock out times and follow time clock procedures. Provide verbal and written performance feedback, including annual performance reviews, and follow the Long Home disciplinary action process, when applicable. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing vendor relations, cross-functional collaboration, and team leadership. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work well under pressure, handle fast-paced environments, meet deadlines and resolve challenges efficiently. Knowledge of retail & event technologies and platforms (e.g., event registration tools, CRM systems, virtual event platforms). Strong coaching and training skills. Strong ability to track and use data to make decisions, using tools such as Excel. Exceptional time management skills. Skilled in reading, writing, and understanding documents, including sales agreements and procedural manuals. Experienced in presenting to groups. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products. Able to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; and solve problems with clear, step-by-step solutions. Ability to calculate all units of measurement. Skilled at connecting with people, with strong persuasive skills. Able to thrive in retail and event-based environments while consistently meeting appointment-setting targets. Skills The required and preferred skills are essential for the Field Marketing Events Supervisor to successfully coordinate complex event logistics and lead diverse teams. Strong organizational skills enable the supervisor to juggle multiple events and deadlines without compromising quality. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office facilitates efficient planning, budgeting, and reporting. Communication and interpersonal skills are critical for negotiating with vendors, motivating team members, and collaborating with cross-functional departments.
