Director, On-Market Portfolio Leader
Illumina
Illumina seeks a Director to oversee the performance, lifecycle management, and strategic evolution of on-market products. This role balances customer impact, product quality, compliance, and business objectives while leading cross-functional partnerships across development, operations, and commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure on-market products consistently meet customer expectations for performance, quality, and reliability
- Drive portfolio prioritization and investment decisions through governance processes and performance metrics
- Manage resource allocation across projects to optimize efficiency and resolve constraints
- Lead cross-functional partnerships across development, quality, operations, regulatory, and commercial teams
- Mentor on-market leadership staff and oversee delivery of sustaining activities and product enhancements
Requirements
- Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools
- Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management from introduction through end-of-life
- Strong portfolio management and strategic planning capabilities
- Experience managing budgets and analyzing financial performance of products
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Data analysis skills to transform insights into actionable business decisions
- Risk identification and mitigation experience for product sustaining projects
