Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Chicago Loop Law Firm is seeking an energetic and resourceful individual to grow our Paralegal/Legal Assistant team, to provide effective support and case management to multiple attorneys. Our ideal candidate will be flexible and a self-starter, with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to juggle and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects while maintaining calm and positive energy is key component to success. Duties and responsibilities: Preparing correspondence and typing legal documents Document summary and review Paper and electronic file organization Court filings, both electronically and in person Preparing and organizing trial and deposition exhibits Locating / obtaining medical records Performing legal research Scheduling of meetings Maintaining internal docket calendars Skills and Experience: Possess a professional manner and appearance Highly skilled in typing/word processing Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Firm grasp of office procedures Ability to take direction, while exercising judgment and independent thought Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Can work both independently and as a team Prior law firm experience or college degree preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position. Pay is commensurate with experience.
