Occupational Therapist School

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students across a K-12 educational setting in Thornton, CO. This role involves working with children from Preschool through High School , helping them develop essential functional, academic, and life skills to succeed in the school environment.

Key Details:

Student Population: Preschool through High School
Orientation (New Hire Summer Symposium): July 27 - July 31
Staff Reporting Date: August 3
Student Start Date: August 11

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to students across assigned school sites
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
Support students in improving fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary evaluations

Required Qualifications

Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license
Active DORA certification (Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies)
Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work across multiple school levels (Preschool-High School)
