Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Document hours worked using the designated time-tracking system
• Complete required pre-start and annual facility modules as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience prior to travel
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or active Compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications in hand at time of submission (no pending certifications accepted)
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the applicable specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months
• No open licensing or background case hits; background review conducted by facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience within a single location
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools
