Dawson School, a K-12 independent school of 535 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 112-acre campus, seeks a Transportation Supervisor to oversee all aspects of the transportation program. Dawson is a growing and passionate educational community dedicated to the healthy development and education of all of its students. The ideal candidate loves working with people and has previous bus driving experience. The transportation program includes bus routes, summer programs, field trips and sport activities. Our fleet currently has 8 large buses and 11 mini-buses. Compensation is dependent upon skillset.

Duties include:
• Oversee all daily bus routes
• Responsible for overall maintenance and safety of entire fleet through vendors or in-house
• Training of teachers, coaches and staff on proper driving skills.
• Collect registration data and assess transportation needs
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local transportation laws
• Communicate with parents and external parties concerning transportation matters
• Assist in implementation of procedures for department.
• Supervise and evaluate bus driving staff

Requirements:
• CDL license required. S endorsement preferred or obtain within 30 days of hire
• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 years previous experience related to transportation operations
• Previous supervisory experience desired
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Word
• Knowledge of DOT regulations required
• Hands on maintenance experience desired but not required
