Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

We re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide General Surgery coverage for an extended maternity leave assignment in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Assignment Dates

• Start: ASAP (as soon as credentialed).
• End: October 23.
• Coverage while someone is out on materinity leave.

Position Details

• Monday Friday.
• Approximately 8:00 AM 4:00 PM.
• 40 hours per week.
• No nights, no weekend call, and no overtime.
• Acute Care / Emergency General Surgery (EGS) service.
• Clinic, inpatient rounding, and surgical consults.
• Optional OR participation for providers who are interested.

Daily Responsibilities

• Round on approximately 8 10 patients .
• Evaluate 3 5 surgical consults per day.
• See clinic patients per day.
• Clinic schedule is typically 1 2 days per week , with the remainder spent in the hospital.

Requirements

• Must reside in Tennessee.
• Active Tennessee NP or PA license required.
• General Surgery experience strongly preferred.
• BLS and DEA required.
