Job Summary We are seeking an Import Buyer or Senior Import Buyer for a direct hire opportunity in Norwalk, CA within the food and beverage production industry. This role supports purchasing, international supplier communication, import logistics, shipment tracking, and inventory availability for a fast-paced operation. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented purchasing or supply chain professional who enjoys working with vendors, freight partners, internal teams, and product data. The role offers the chance to grow within international purchasing, support food product supply chains, and work in a collaborative environment where communication, follow-up, and teamwork are valued. Depending on experience, this position may be hired at a junior or senior level. Junior candidates will receive exposure to purchasing, vendor communication, documentation, and shipment coordination. Senior candidates will have the opportunity to manage suppliers, pricing, purchase orders, freight coordination, and process improvements more independently. Key Responsibilities Assist with or manage purchase orders for assigned products, vendors, and product categories. Communicate with domestic and international suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, production status, and shipment updates. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping partners, warehouse teams, sales, accounting, and management to support timely product movement. Track international shipments, container status, estimated arrival dates, delivery schedules, and related documentation. Review supplier pricing, freight costs, landed cost information, purchasing details, and inventory needs. Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, product, cost, shipment, compliance, and import‑related records in company systems. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $45,000 to $70,000 per year.
