Upper Valley Nighthawks InternshipThe Upper Valley Nighthawks are a collegiate summer baseball team based in White River Junction, Vermont, competing in the prestigious New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). Founded in 2016, the Nighthawks are known for competitive baseball, community involvement, and professional development opportunities for players and staff. Each summer, the team provides a hands-on, growth and family-focused experience in a fun and fast-paced sports environment. Season runs from May 30 to August 9.Internship Information:Opportunity to earn college credit (dependent on school format and approval)Access to professional-level baseball operations and social media productionAbility to produce content to numerous networks (IG, FB, X, TikTok, YT)Networking opportunities with NECBL coaches, players, league officials, and MLB staffResponsibilities:Serve as a content creator and account manager for all home and away games (44+) throughout the NECBL season.Create social media strategy and cohesive designs in collaboration with the graphic design intern.Assist in the setup and teardown of all media equipmentCoordinate with the creative & broadcast teams to promote key storylinesContribute to game recaps and media as needed for the team website in collaboration with the Director of CommunicationsHave the freedom to work on a personal project throughout the season (portfolio, etc.)Other duties as assignedRequirements:Currently enrolled in a Communications, Journalism, Sports Media, or related majorStrong leadership presence and willingness to work as part of a team and familyWillingness and flexibility to attend online pre-season NECBL and team meetings and league training sessionsPossess leadership qualities with the ability to collaborate and guide other team members in a professional environmentDemonstrated self-motivation, organization, and attention to detailAbility to problem-solve quickly and remain calm under pressureCapable of multitasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBaseball knowledge or prior live-upload experience strongly preferredMust have own camera/equipmentBenefits:Housing provided ($600 for the entire summer)Gym membership included (River Valley Club)Free meals after every home and road games, and additional free weekly meals from local restaurantsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
